Choosing The Correct Hotel

Once the invitation list has been written, accommodations for your out-of-town guests should be considered.  For large weddings, a hotel is the logical choice.  Choosing the correct hotel for your guests need not be complicated. First decide on the location, near the airport, near downtown, etc.  Is it close to shopping or local attractions?

Your guests may decide a vacation is in order and would welcome staying in a central location.  Secondly, consider their budgets and try to arrive at an affordable rate that everyone would be comfortable with.  This can he tricky since some relatives may not mind roadside inns whereas other require opulence.

After you’ve decided on the location and price range, concentrate on the amenities.  Are there restaurants? How are the accommodations?  Would you be proud to have your guests stay there?  If possible, visit the hotel and talk with the Sales Department.  Most hotels are more than happy to give previews of their rooms and will gladly give tours. It is recommended that you make an appointment with the hotel.  This ensures that you will he given ample time to discuss everything.  The final step is hooking the rooms.  Take into consideration the time of the year.

Note: Do not wait until a month before to make arrangements.
